We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Media Relations & Financial Communications to join our Sustainability & Corporate Affairs team in our Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne office on a permanent full-time basis.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, Communications, you will be responsible for media relations, issues management and the delivery of financial communications for key investor and external events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing APA’s media relation strategy to increase awareness of our organisation, our purpose and vision
  • Draft ASX releases working with Investor Relations and other internal stakeholders
  • Develop speeches, Q&A and other materials to support key investor events, including half and full year results, Annual Meetings and Investor Days
  • Preparation of external speeches and presentations, along with ongoing communications advice, for the CEO/MD and other ELT members
  • Provide communications support for crisis management, incident and business continuity media and communication requirements

Your background:

  • Tertiary qualification in media, communications or related discipline
  • Experience in ASX-listed companies delivering financial media relations, ASX and financial communications
  • Established knowledge and skills in strategic media relations and external communications
  • Strong skills in issues and reputation management, in a regulated and ASX-listed environment
  • Experience delivering speeches and other communications materials with CEO and other executive level employees
