Oil giant Exxon Mobil pushes new climate change plan as activist investors circle

Exxon Mobil has announced a new five-year plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The new targets were in response to multiple activist investor groups targeting Exxon Mobil's slipping financial performance as well as a failure to address long-term energy transition needs. The oil giant pledged that its 2025 plan would also meet the Paris Agreement reduction targets.
