This module will enable participants to be part of valuable conversations, with access to practical and applicable insights, new models to generate and deliver content, and best practice approaches to employee communications during crises.

Led by Centre Executive Director Wayne Burns with contributions from senior practitioner Guest Faculty Tarnya Dunning, General Manager Employee Communications - Telstra, and David MacGregor,General Manager Group Internal Communication -Woolworths, the agenda will focus on:

• the phases of most crises, trends and developments from across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific in how corporations are managing employee communications during the COVID-19 crisis, including insights and learnings that the function’s leaders have garnered to date from managing the crisis;

• developing crisis communications strategy aligned with organisational (and industry) crisis management strategy. Meeting the challenge of crisis communications while calibrating and executing business as usual employee communications. Employee communications as a strategic corporate public affairs discipline; and

• re-thinking and recalibrating employee communications approaches and priorities. What are the challenges? What is working/not working? Managing internal demands for employee engagement and messaging. What are the initial learnings?
