2024 Annual Corporate Public Affairs Oration

Reshaping corporate personality: better behaviour and reputation to secure longevity

Overview

The Oration is the corporate public affairs function's premier opportunity of the year for a prominent thinker and leader to add to the body of thought about the socio-political environment in which companies operate, and for corporate public affairs professionals to meet and connect.

Our 2024 Orator Doug Pinkham, President of the Washington-DC based Public Affairs Council, will address the topic Reshaping corporate personality: better behaviour and reputation to secure longevity.

This is the final year of Doug heading up the Public Affairs Council which he led since 1997. The Council – formed at the urging of then US President Eisenhower – has flourished under his 27-year tenure.

Doug is a thought leader in the corporate public affairs world and speaks and teaches about the profession and its practice globally. He is a regular news media contributor in the US around corporate reputation, business activism, corporate behaviour, and public advocacy and lobbying.

He serves on the board of the Institute for Public Relations and previously served on the International Advisory Board of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship. He is a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, an association of senior-level corporate communications executives.

Doug is on the Faculty of the Centre’s flagship Corporate Public Affairs Executive Education Institute in Melbourne, and has been on the Centre Faculty for its Asia Corporate Public Affairs Institute.
