Alastair MacGibbon, Australia’s foremost cyber security adviser and commentator (Chief Strategy Officer at CyberCX and former Cyber Security Advisor to the Prime Minister and the Australian Government), will deliver the keynote address What can Australian corporations do in their approaches to cyber security to protect the interests of their shareholders, and the national interest?".

Alastair is at the bleeding edge of what corporations must do to be alert and ready to manage cyber security breaches and cyber theft and terrorism, including the issues and crisis management and engagement required.

Following a 15-year career as a Federal Agent in the Australian Federal Police, where he established Australia’s High Tech Crime Centre, Alastair held senior cyber security and safety roles across the private sector, including head of eBay’s Asia Pacific Trust & Safety team.

Upon returning to public service, Alastair was appointed Australia’s inaugural eSafety Commissioner, before National Cyber Security Adviser, head of the Australian Cyber Security Centre and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Cyber Security.

Alastair’s keynote address on this most pressing of challenges to corporations and the nation will be followed by a facilitated discussion, and we encourage you to bring colleagues from across your business (Leadership Team, Board, CIO) to attend with you and meet with their peers from a diverse range of industries and organisations.
