ROUNDTABLE - THURSDAY 7 MARCH

Our Annual Roundtable on Thursday 07 March is your opportunity to be part of important, insightful discussions and to garner timely insights on the socio-political and work environment in the year ahead.

This is the annual opportunity to interact with peers to garner insights, share expertise and strengthen knowledge about where the corporate public affairs management function is heading, and understand how other organisations and heads of function are managing their public affairs teams.

Roundtable sessions start with an address or presentation on a prescient issue by an industry leader or commentator, followed by an examination of that issue through dialogue, in an active roundtable setting with full peer-to-peer participation.

Discussions and sessions will focus on:

  • Corporate reputation, stakeholders and wokedom: how companies are navigating the siren calls to get involved in controversial social and public policy issues (including from employees).
  • How geopolitics will influence Australia’s public policy, economy, politics, and national sentiment in 2024.
  • The nation’s regulatory outlook: competition, companies, greenwashing, and the focus of Australia’s business regulators in 2024 – 2025.
  • The state of business news media in Australia – what will make headlines in 2024?
  • Politics, policy priorities, and personalities: what’s in store for 2024 – 2025?

Currently confirmed discussion leaders are:

  • Sarah Court, Deputy Chair, ASIC
  • Peter Crone, Commissioner, ACCC
  • Jessica Forrest, Executive Sustainability, National Australia Bank
  • Jacqueline Maley, The Sydney Morning Herald/The Age
  • Jared Mondschein, Director of Research, United States Study Centre
  • John Stanley, Presenter, 2GB
  • Sam Stevens, Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Origin Energy
  • Michael Stutchbury, Editor-in-Chief, The Australian Financial Review

Proceedings are conducted under the Chatham House Rule, and participation in the Roundtable on Thursday 07 March is restricted to heads of function and senior practitioners to enable full and frank discussions among peers.

This is a strictly limited places offering - early registrations are strongly encouraged
